Process description
Silver is characterised by a very good heat and electric conduction (the best of all metals).
The capacity to reflect light of freshly polished silver the best of all metals and for the visible range of light it is 99%.
Silver is a precious metal and shows good resistance to corrosion in solutions that do not contain oxidising and complex-forming substances.
The most important product features:
- good heat and electric conduction
- reflect light of freshly polished silver the best of all metals
- good resistance to corrosion in solutions
To guarantee an appropriate adhesion of the layer the following additional processes are used (as an alternative – to choose from):
- copper-plating
- nickel plating
- preliminary silver-plating
- amalgamation
Silver-plating is carried out in the fully automatic barrel line put in to service in November 2007
Purposes:
- Jewellery
- Cutlery
- Electrotechnics
- Electronics
- Chemical equipment
